PICTURE WINDOWS

Ideal to frame a beautiful scene outside, give the impression of more space and bring in more daylight. Picture windows don't open so they work well in drafty areas or alongside other window types.

BAY WINDOWS

A dramatic and beautiful feature. They have a series of three or more windows that protrude outward from a building. They come in different heights and most form a polygon or square. They can provide extra floor space or seating.

GARDEN WINDOWS

A delightful accent that adds light, ventilation and display space to a room. They extend out from the house, have glass on every side except the bottom, generally have side vents and often shelves.

DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS

A popular and traditional choice. These can be raised from the bottom or lowered from the top for two levels of ventilation. These windows can be found in many historical styles—Farmhouses, Victorians and Cape Cods.

CASEMENT WINDOWS

A simple, clean and safe design that compliments most home styles. A casement window is hinged at the side and uses a crank to open outward like a door. It looks like a picture window because it has no rail. Once closed and locked these are considered the most secure type of window.

BOW WINDOWS

Very similar to a bay window, except it's composed of three or more windows joined to form a graceful curve. They add floor space or more seating creating spaciousness and more light to a room. A bow window adds something out of the ordinary to your home.

RADIUS WINDOWS

Complementing a casual room or adding to a bold space, the round top and rectangular bottom of this window works with both looks. Radius, or arch, windows can be operable for ventilation or fixed for just letting in light.

SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS

Preferred for an authentic look on historical homes and more affordable than double hung windows, these are raised from the bottom to open while the top portion stays fixed. Some feel they are more energy efficient and safer.

HORIZONTAL SLIDER WINDOWS

Providing a contemporary look and the most unobstructed view along with maximum ventilation, these windows are well suited for openings that are wider than they are tall. They slide from side to side to open so many people find them the easiest to operate.

JALOUSIE WINDOWS

Think of these as glass shutters. This window has a set of parallel glass slats set in a frame that is opened and closed in unison by turning a crank. They are popular because they allow light and ventilation while preventing rain from coming inside while open. They securely lock and have an airtight seal.

AWNING WINDOWS

Designed specifically to let air in but not rain, these windows tilt outward at the bottom with the hinge placed at the top. Awning windows are often used as a complement with other window types to add ventilation, light and visual interest.

SKYLIGHT WINDOWS

Not just a luxury anymore skylights play a key role in brightening and ventilating an otherwise dark space. They can bring your view of the outdoors in, provide mental space, design interest and add value to your property.
